Samsung Security

Galaxy S III security crazy to say the least

If you want to know how tight security was at the Earls Court event below is my experience when seeing the device before release. One thing I am going to say is they really did take it seriously which is great because this has been a fantastically well guarded secret the press didn't even know  what it was going to be called.

We were let into the earls Court build where every 20ft there was security. We were lead by an employee form Samsung HQ to a room where we would see the device. At each of these security members we had to provide our ID.

We sign a NDA saying we cant spill the beens till after the event, which of course we signed, anything to see the device early.

We have all electronic devices taken form us that included the samsung employees. Once all were off they put stickers over all the lenses of the cameras. Then all phones placed in a box and removed from the room.

This is how my phone looked when I got it back at the end of the night
Front camera and all

Two Samsung employees turn up with a very secure looking box and 3 bodyguards that waited outside the room.

Now that they were happy with everything and no leaks were possible they took out from this box a bunch of devices. Beautiful shinny devices.

Once the show and tell was done at around 1700 they put away the SIII and we never saw our phones again till 2200.
