The Samsung Galaxy Note lauch event

Image
Well it was a great day with food and champagne at the Battersea Power Station in London. Where the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note took place, not to mention the introduction of the Galaxy Nexus as well. To start the event off there were some dancers you can see them in the image below. After the dancers had done their thing the big man Mr JK Shin President of Samsung Mobile took to the stage to introduce what the night was all about. And at the heart of the event was the Galaxy Note where we were introduced so its specifications and features. Some of the gestures you may have never have seen on a mobile device (I will be doing a short demo of these gestures in a YouTube video shortly). After the Note was introduced and we found out that it would be available in stores on the 2nd of November in the UK and that there was another amazing device on show, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. So the event was larger than we thought as it was the European launch ...

Videos on the Galaxy S 2

Image
Hi Peps, Today I thought i would share what videos I watch on my Samsung Galaxy S 2. Mainly because one of the best parts of the device is the screen, it really does give the iPhone 4 a run for its money. With great resolution and fantastic colour you can help but watch TV shows and Films on this device Van Wilder , a film that everyone should watch love it! if you are ever feeling down I find that this is a great way of lifting the spirits Two and a Half Men , again if you are on the tube for a few mins or you want to dip in and out of something and not play a game then this is a great one. Archer , fantastic adult cartoon its kind of like James Bond, Family Guy and pure awesome all mixed together. Sharing my own videos like the one of me driving an Audi R8 which was recorded by a friend using my phone at 720p (see below for video and here is the link  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqJ39cwGJ2E ) The final one is more of an app and that is YouTube if you hav...

Photo Sharing with the Samsung Galaxy S 2

Image
If you want to know what photos look like on the Galaxy S 2 then see below some samples from mine. This was done with the stock camera at 6.5 Mega Pixels (not the maximum 8 MP as I dont usually need images at that resolution). I also have an example of the Panorama mode which on the Galaxy S 2 is absolutely amazing. So below are some examples that I took while on holiday in Turkey, and the last image is using Retro Camera a great and simple Android app. Sunset in Turkey View from one of the restaurants in Kalkan View from my balcony Top of Smoky Mountain in Turkey Food in Brighton on the beach This is  photo of my local with an app called "Retro Camera"

Review of the Samsung Galaxy Pro

Image
Hi All, Time for the review of a new device the keyboard armed Galaxy Pro. The latest device from Samsung that is all about the heavy messaging/emailing user. Made to compete with Blackberry the Galaxy Pro really has one of the best keyboards in the businesses. Pros Keyboard Great feeling keyboard  Bigger than Blackberry keys making it really easy to type Feedback from the keys is very good Touch screen Unlike Blackberry devices this has a touch screen which really does add to the ease of use Great hardware for the cost Android 2.2 meaning speed, portable hotspots and access to all the latest apps from the Android Marketplace Cons The Screen Not as big as I am used to so not the best for playing Angry Birds Could have better resolution Conclusion Overall this is a great little phone that would happily replace any Blackberry if only for the fact that you have access to the the 200,000+ apps of the Android Marketplace. Bel...

Galaxy S II review

Image
Hello Folks another day another gadget to review. Today it is the chance of the Galaxy S 2, the newest super phone from Samsung. The reason I am calling it a super phone is the fact that it has a 4.3 inch screen, a dual core processor and close to 1GB of RAM not to mention the amazing thinness of the device. Now the first thing you notice when you switch the device on is the amazing screen which really does make colours pop. And due to the new technology Samsung are using to a line the pixels you will find everything much clearer. The GS2 may not have the resolution on of the iPhone 4s retina display but personally the difference is minimal and the colours are much better. Due to the GS2 thinness you don't really notice how large the screen is as it is more comfortably than the original GS. Plus it slips into your pocket with ease due to thinness and light weight. Overall this is by far the best Android handset if not the be...

Its been a while but Samsung mobilers and my blog are back in action

Well looks like the mob!lers program is up and running again, so expect a good year in the form of Samsung reviews. Plus now that I am working at a Mobile advertising agency I am going to push my reviews out a bit and do some on other device that we have gotten our hands on. The first of my reviews will be the Blackberry Playbook which I have had for a while but not allowed to talk about. The second will be the Samsung Galaxy S II which I am waiting for Samsung to post to me. So look forward for more reviews and more pictures, not to mention my Android app of the week. Enjoy! CES 2011

Right CES is on the horizon and it looks like there is going to be a hell of a lot of really cool stuff shown off. The main thing i am looking for is dual core phones which i think will take of this year especially as ARM are already putting together a quad core processor. So look forward to phones and tablets that can process and play 1080p video. Plus I have a sneaking suspicion that Samsung is going to realise the Galaxy S 2 and from what was said about the possible specs of the Nexus S i think it could be dual core, fingers crossed. And on a different note i feel that this year there will be some awesome hacks done to the Microsoft Kinect with people already connecting 2 together to create fantastic 3D Videos that you can move around, video bellow. And finally I am going to be starting a new job 2moro at a Mobile Advertisng agency as a Product Manager so look for some awesome apps in the coming year (hehe). Proof th...
